Barbie Drawing
This drawing was a lot of fun to do! Barbie is a good model and can do cool poses, this one was easy to mimic because she was sitting and her legs were straight. Her hair was really hard to draw, because of the color and texture of it- really blonde and wavy. Her skin color was also really hard to do because she is an orangey-pinkish color, which I tried hard to do. I think I did a really good job at this one, the shading on her shoes and her shirt look really realistic. If I could do this over again, I would change the shading on her arms and legs and redo her hair. I learned how to draw a person realistically with the right color shading on them in this project. Her face was really hard to draw! I hope later on we learn how to make their faces look realistic because I need it desperately. ): Overall though, I think this is a good project!
Still Life Project
I liked this project, but it was very hard to do! The shading was very difficult to perfect and took a lot of patience that I do not have. I think my project was very good, but I think I should have pressed a little harder with the pencil because it is too light. Where I put the shading really worked, but the contrast between light and dark was not very realistic-looking even though that is how it appeared. I learned how to shade and make things look 3D and also how to draw things behind other things realistically.
Pop Can Line Drawing
I liked this project a lot! I had a lot of fun drawing all the lines and making the pop can look all crinkled like it was. It was tough making it look real and 3D though, because it didn't look right the way I was drawing it. Mr. Puffpaff helped me though with the tab, and that made it look way better! The crumpled pop can was much easier to draw than the nice new one, because there were no clean lines or anything so errors were not seen as easily. I had trouble making the top of the un-crumpled can, it does not look 3-dimensional at all. The other can looks very realistic, or that's what I think. That is exactly what my can looked like! In this project, I learned how to draw things looking 3D and also how to mimic exactly what things look like.
